Distribution Section Manager (Electrical Power)

Salary: $113,117–$161,595 in Spokane or $142,884–$204,120 in Bellevue/Seattle

What you will do

• Manage the operations, profitability, quality control, morale, and staff development of a production section.
• Serve as project manager and lead production for power distribution projects.
• Coordinate technical services and multidisciplinary teams across sections.
• Support marketing planning, proposals, interviews, business development, and client relationships.
• Plan, organize, monitor, and evaluate work through proactive project management systems.
• Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel while supporting company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; an electrical engineering background is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of overall experience, including project and staff management.
• At least 4 years of distribution design experience, including planning studies, coordination studies, wire sizing, and constructability.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or other professional registration, license, or certification may be required.
• Experience managing staff, clients, contracts, and hiring within an engineering consulting firm.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, client management, marketing, and business development skills.

Nice to have

• PMP or similar certification.
• Experience with CYMCAP, ETAP, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, or Pole Foreman.
• Existing relationships with power delivery clients and experience generating new work.
