Product Engineer (Plastic Manufacturing)

Location: Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, United States; onsite. Travel of up to 20% domestically and internationally is required, including occasional overnight stays, weekends, and extended work hours.

What you will do

• Develop commercially viable technical solutions, new products, processes, and commercial offerings.
• Design products and explore CAD technologies and tools.
• Lead and support new product implementation from concept through full production.
• Validate finished products and maintain compliance with ISO quality procedures.
• Complete technical documentation and coordinate communication across functions.
• Provide technical customer support, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; relevant work experience may substitute for the education requirement.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 4 years of technical experience with Creo (ProE).
• Experience developing products in an ISO-controlled environment.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding, tooling and tooling design, and plastic part design requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to communicate effectively with varied roles.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience in project management.
• Experience with Windchill or other PDM software.
• Experience with SolidWorks or SpaceClaim.
• Cooperative work assignments in plastic manufacturing companies.
