Electrical Designer (Electrical Systems)

Location: Burlington, Washington, USA; office-based position

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and draft electrical systems and lighting for educational, commercial, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
• Prepare layouts, design proposals, drawings, and construction drawing packages for power distribution and electrical systems.
• Develop designs from schematic concepts through design development and final construction documentation.
• Analyze and resolve design and production issues, apply relevant codes, and develop solutions to code exceptions.
• Perform engineering calculations and recommend design adaptations and modifications.
• Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, architectural, structural, and other design disciplines, as well as clients and external design teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems and lighting design and drafting; at least 3 years in an electrical engineering environment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, including sheet set manager, template files, dynamic referencing, and coordinated external references.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu and 3D design software.
• Ability to develop design and drawing packages for multidisciplinary projects and coordinate drafting standards and file exchanges.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• This position is based in the Burlington office and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Graduation from a certified CAD training program or a technical/associate degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Intergraph CADWorx.
