Adult Health/Medical-Surgical Clinical Faculty (Part-Time)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; onsite clinical teaching is required. Schedule most commonly consists of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $560–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the course credit hours.

What you will do

• Implement the nursing curriculum, program outcomes, course objectives, and institutional teaching philosophy.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision of nursing students delivering patient care.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
• Develop clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge, skills, and learning needs.
• Grade coursework, tests, laboratory assignments, clinical documentation, and other written work.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies, course coordinators, and academic leadership on student and site issues.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Texas.
• At least two years of recent professional registered nursing experience in the area of instruction within the last five years.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required by certain clinical partner sites.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
