Capstone Clinical Faculty (part-time)- Wichita, KS

Location: Onsite in a clinical setting in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Teaching commonly involves 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the course credit hours assigned.

What you will do

• Teach capstone clinical nursing students in partnership with a clinical healthcare agency.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students delivering nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Orient students to clinical policies, procedures, and expectations while maintaining agency-specific knowledge.
• Prepare clinical assignments, grade coursework and clinical documentation, and potentially teach didactic content under supervision.
• Communicate student and agency issues to the course coordinator, dean, or assistant dean.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Kansas.
• Illinois nursing license required before accepting a clinical contract for a session.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
