Complex Adult Health/Critical Care Clinical Faculty (Part-Time) (Nursing Education)

Location: Portland, Oregon, USA; teaching is onsite in a clinical setting

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the course credit hours.

What you will do

• Teach Complex Adult Health/Critical Care clinical content within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision to nursing students delivering patient care.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
• Develop clinical assignments suited to students’ knowledge, competencies, and learning needs.
• Grade coursework, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies and academic leadership regarding student and clinical-site issues.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered Oregon registered nursing license required.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.

Nice to have

• Teaching or precepting experience.
