Software Engineer - Networking (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: San Francisco, CA; onsite in the office five days a week

Base salary: $182,000–$230,000 per year, plus potential equity awards.

What you will do

• Optimize communication protocols and network schemas.
• Stress-test network systems to identify operating limits.
• Improve network deployment and tuning techniques.
• Build tools to view, diagnose, and iterate on network configuration and operation.
• Create tools to extract and visualize data from vehicle logs.
• Analyze network performance across RF, Wi-Fi, cellular, and related technologies.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Python, C++, Git, and Linux.
• Familiarity with common networking utilities and a strong portfolio of networking projects.
• Experience deploying and optimizing RF systems.
• Ability to build maintainable, scalable software with strong diagnostics.
• Ability to debug complex hardware, software, and real-world systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in multidisciplinary teams.
