Senior Injection Mold Maker (Injection Molding)

Location: Carpentersville, Illinois, United States; onsite manufacturing role with overtime availability required when needed.

Salary: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Fabricate, maintain, alter, and repair injection molding tooling.
• Work from blueprints and CAD models to construct and modify molds.
• Operate and use CNC, EDM, surface grinders, and mills in the molding tool room.
• Inspect piece parts against quality specifications and support mold preventative maintenance.
• Assist with part design for manufacturability, tool room supplies, customer communication, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of the OTTO apprenticeship or 5–10 years of mold-making or mold-repair experience.
• Knowledge of injection molding tool design, tool steels, production materials, and molding tool room equipment.
• Proficiency with CAD, blueprint reading, and inspection.
• Ability to operate CNC and EDM machines and use surface grinders and mills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Availability for overtime when needed.
