Senior Mold Process Technician (Injection Molding)

What you will do

• Set up, start up, troubleshoot, and stabilize injection molds and molding machines.
• Develop and optimize complex molding processes using decoupled molding practices, engineered resins, and design of experiments.
• Monitor cycle times, record process specifications, inspect parts, and make quality decisions.
• Investigate materials, non-conformances, mold modifications, repairs, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering on tooling, part designs, manufacturability, process debugging, and new products.
• Serve as an injection molding subject matter expert and mentor technicians, setup technicians, and material handlers.

Requirements

• Four-year technical degree or 8+ years of equivalent engineering-level plastic injection molding experience.
• 8+ years of experience as an Injection Mold Technician or Mold Process Technician.
• Advanced knowledge of decoupled molding, engineering-grade resins, injection molding machines, mold design, operation, and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, communication, attention to detail, and process improvement skills.
• Ability to use CAD, measuring instruments, calculators, computers, and power tools; basic arithmetic and written and spoken English are required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or qualifying refugee or asylee; temporary visa holders are not eligible.
