Master Machinist

Location: Columbia, Pennsylvania — onsite at the plant

Compensation: $39.91 per hour; $2.00 shift differential for second and third shifts

What you will do

• Read tool and die blueprints and calculate metal shapes, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set up and operate drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Repair tooling, molds, dies, and manufacturing equipment through teardown, cleaning, fitting, assembly, grinding, shimming, and polishing.
• Perform fabrication and welding work and design jigs and templates used as fabrication aids.
• Inspect finished dies and molds for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
• Measure and mark metal stock using precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

• General machine knowledge and mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with tool and die blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with injection molding, tooling repair, and manufacturing repair.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ability to work standing and perform repetitive tasks with both hands in a factory environment involving heat and dust.
• Ability to obtain a tow motor license and successfully complete LOTO and confined-space training.
