Technology Engineer Sr.

Location: Bloomington, Illinois, United States; hybrid

Base pay range: $94,400–$129,800 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, build, implement, and support enterprise IT and database solutions.
• Ensure database platforms meet security, availability, capacity, resiliency, and performance requirements.
• Maintain and deploy database solutions in partnership with infrastructure engineers.
• Develop automation and self-service capabilities for business users and database operations.
• Evaluate technology trends and recommend solutions aligned with business needs.
• Create multi-year technology strategies, architecture artifacts, and system documentation.

Requirements

• Typically 5+ years of experience in database information technology or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Experience developing automation with PowerShell, C#, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL, Virtual Machines, Storage, Monitor, and Automation.
• Experience designing and supporting high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, and resiliency solutions in Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform.
• Experience resolving complex SQL Server performance, availability, security, capacity, and cost-efficiency issues.
