Windows Engineer (Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and administer Windows-based infrastructure environments.
• Define Windows platform strategy and contribute to the infrastructure roadmap.
• Act as the final escalation point for high-severity production incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors and managed service providers to oversee operations.
• Build OS images, patch bundles, and automation scripts.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and implement infrastructure as code using PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Go.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar infrastructure role.
• Must be based in the US for remote work or within commuting distance of NYC for hybrid.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware virtualization.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Strong documentation skills for creating standard operating procedures and strategy documents.

Nice to have

• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible.
• Knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with containerization in Windows environments.
• Proficiency in observability tools like Datadog, Splunk, or ELK.
