Software Engineer - Sr. Consultant Level (GenAI)

Location: US - Austin, TX; hybrid position with at least 3 days in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $152,200–$243,700 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and applicable sales incentives.

What you will do

• Design, document, implement, and evolve secure, scalable, resilient backend systems and web applications.
• Lead architecture and implementation of REST APIs, gRPC services, microservices, backend platforms, and event-driven systems.
• Build and support virtual card, payables, and commercial payment acceptance platforms.
• Use GenAI, LLMs, coding copilots, and agentic engineering approaches across daily software development and the SDLC.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, Technical Product Managers, test engineers, and operations teams to deliver and support production software.
• Mentor junior developers, present technical designs, troubleshoot defects, and contribute to CI/CD automation and production stability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD; preferred qualifications include 9+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Expert backend engineering experience with REST APIs, gRPC, J2EE, JDBC, JMS, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, WebFlux, and Vert.x.
• Strong experience designing high-performance, scalable, reliable, fault-tolerant, and highly available applications.
• Advanced experience with databases and SQL, including MySQL, DB2, Oracle, Kafka, Redis, or NoSQL datastores.
• Strong CI/CD, DevOps, automation, architecture, communication, troubleshooting, and technical leadership skills; mandatory GenAI/LLM-driven software engineering experience.
