Senior Associate, Software Engineering (Java)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; hybrid work environment with up to 2 days per week of remote work

Salary: $120,300–$151,900 per year

What you will do

• Develop scalable hybrid and cloud-based data solutions supporting financial market clearing and risk activities.
• Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs for data-intensive applications using Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Design low-latency, event-driven distributed systems and high-throughput workloads using Spring Batch and Kafka.
• Design and deploy distributed real-time applications on AWS using EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups.
• Optimize database access through efficient strategies, optimized SQL queries, and selective bypassing of ORM frameworks.
• Analyze requirements, develop and test software, document quality, support production fixes, and address security vulnerabilities and project risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least three years of experience as a software developer, systems engineer, research assistant, or in a related role.
• Experience designing and optimizing low-latency, event-driven distributed systems using Spring Batch and Kafka.
• Experience developing Java and Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs with MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Experience optimizing SQL-based database access and deploying distributed real-time applications on AWS with EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business analysts, developers, architects, product owners, and team leads in an Agile environment.
