Automation Inspection Manufacturing Engineer (Semiconductor Automation)

Salary: $110,700–$145,320 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and sustain automated inspection solutions for probe features.
• Design and optimize automated probe storage, handling, and insertion processes.
• Support equipment qualification, process development, validation, troubleshooting, production ramp, and ongoing production support.
• Improve semiconductor manufacturing yield, quality, productivity, cycle time, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Establish process controls using SPC, process capability analysis, manufacturing data, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, and Wafer Engineering on NPI, engineering changes, technical issue resolution, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience, Master’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience, or a PhD with no experience required; equivalent experience is accepted.
• Experience in automation engineering, manufacturing engineering, semiconductor engineering, and manufacturing process engineering.
• Knowledge of defect, dimensional, optical, and precision metrology.
• Ability to perform technical troubleshooting, measurement analysis, process qualification, and problem resolution.
• Ability to create engineering documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, FMEAs, control plans, and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to train technicians and operators on equipment, automation systems, processes, and best practices.
