What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and scale defect inspection and metrology technologies for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Design and optimize inspection processes, methods, and equipment performance.
  • Conduct process experiments and feasibility studies using Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
  • Analyze defect data, identify root causes, and improve manufacturing yield and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering, research, equipment, materials suppliers, and cross-functional teams to introduce new technologies.
  • Drive inspection-system improvements through automation, software, and hardware enhancements while supporting technology roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field with 4 years of experience; or a relevant master’s degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
  • Experience in semiconductor processing, system controls, opto-mechanics, or mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience with packaging processes, equipment automation development, or project management in technology development.
  • Previous related experience in a semiconductor foundry.
