What you will do
- Architect and deploy automation solutions across wafer prep, die prep, and assembly test manufacturing.
- Partner with manufacturing, IT, and process engineering teams to translate business needs into automation software.
- Design and implement real-time communication interfaces using SEMI standards (SECS/GEM, GEM300).
- Maintain and optimize software architecture for scalability, robustness, and maintainability.
- Lead root-cause analysis and system-level debugging for complex integration issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive the adoption of best practices across the automation team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 7+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing automation or systems integration.
- 5+ years of experience with database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- 5+ years of experience with yield management systems (YMS), statistical process control (SPC), and automated workflows.
- Must be able to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with SEMI communication standards (SECS/GEM, EDA/Interface A, GEM300).
- Experience in 300mm manufacturing environments (MES300/Workstream).
- Understanding of factory KPIs including OEE, cycle time, throughput, and yield.
