Metrology Engineering Technican (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Shift 8 is a compressed evening schedule with extended shifts; more than 50% of scheduled hours occur between 3:30 p.m. and midnight.

Annual salary range: $51,710–$99,770 USD for this hourly role.

What you will do

• Provide sustaining support for module equipment and components, including installation and qualification of new equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair, dismantling, adjustment, reassembly, and troubleshooting using schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Design tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing teams on repair procedures, manufacturability, process efficiency, and factory commitments.
• Document operational and maintenance procedures and report schedules and technical findings to management.
• Analyze equipment data, conduct controlled experiments, and evaluate equipment and quality issues to improve availability and performance.

Requirements

• One of the stated education and experience combinations: a relevant bachelor's degree with no experience; a STEM degree with equipment maintenance experience; an associate degree with relevant maintenance experience; or a high school diploma/GED with the specified technical or maintenance experience.
• Relevant disciplines include mechanical, optical, or electrical engineering, physics, computer science, and other applied engineering or STEM fields related to semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, collaboration, adaptability, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
• Regular onsite presence in Phoenix, Arizona, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical metrology, sensor development, algorithm improvements, or hardware changes.
• Geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, mechanical drawings, or CAD software.
• Programming in Visual Basic, Python, MATLAB, or C/C++.
• Measurement capability analysis or statistical analysis experience.
