Commercial Construction Superintendent - GovDirect

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States; on-site commercial construction work.

Salary: $99,000–$150,700 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Direct on-site project workflow and communicate priorities to site staff and subcontractors.
• Lead jobsite safety, administer the safety program, and support incident investigations and inspections.
• Maintain construction quality standards, daily activity logs, work orders, site documentation, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with the project manager on schedules, installation sequencing, commitments, and long-lead items.
• Organize site teams, temporary facilities, and utilities while identifying and resolving problems early.
• Collaborate with project management and site operations through project completion and owner or architect acceptance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong knowledge of building processes and construction best practices.
• Ability to organize people, tools, time, and other resources to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience as a superintendent or project lead is preferred.
• Proficiency with project software, including Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
