EMR Business Systems Trainer (Epic EMR)

Location: Antioch, California, United States; onsite office work

Hourly rate: $36.05–$62.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Serve as the primary training contact for Epic EMR and related business systems across Epic Care.
• Develop and facilitate classroom, remote, and one-on-one training for front desk, medical assistant, provider, and incoming staff workflows.
• Resolve, escalate, and educate users on Epic EMR issues through ticketing systems and vendor collaboration.
• Support quarterly system upgrades through analysis, testing, curriculum updates, tip sheets, and staff training.
• Provide onsite elbow support for practices joining Epic Care and escalate unresolved issues through the EMR Project Manager and JMH.
• Create and maintain workflows, standard operating procedures, training guides, and documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of Epic end-user training, clinical education, or healthcare application support experience.
• Minimum 2 years facilitating instructor-led classroom and one-on-one training for adult learners with varying computer proficiency.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and following standardized training materials, workflows, and documentation.
• Completion and successful passing of the JMH Epic credentialing training program is required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Epic Credentialed Trainer or Epic certification.
• Experience supporting multiple clinical specialties.
• Experience creating SOPs, training guides, tip sheets, and workflow documentation.
• Experience auditing user access, onboarding documentation, or credential requests.
