What you will do

• Provide instruction in basic out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients.
• Deliver training in accordance with course curriculum outlines and instructional materials.
• Assess student knowledge and adapt instruction to the appropriate class level.
• Manage classroom discipline, schedules, materials, and a safe, comfortable training environment.
• Monitor instructional quality and achieve client-established course evaluation and competency objectives.
• Collaborate with government and contract team members and prepare accurate, timely work products in accordance with USCG Training System SOPs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and National Registry EMT certification.
• At least 5 years of field experience as a practicing EMT or paramedic.
• At least 3 years of experience as a primary classroom instructor.
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Security clearance is not required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health or educational practices.
• National Registry Advanced EMT or Paramedic certification.
• PALS, ACLS, PHTLS, TCCC, and CG PERJC Coast Guard Instructor certifications.
• Experience aboard a variety of afloat and shore units.
