Site Learning Specialist (Epic EHR)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States. On-site rounding at the assigned facility is required, including occasional off shifts, travel to off-site locations, and driving in adverse weather conditions when necessary.

What you will do

• Deliver Epic training and provide coaching, guidance, and one-on-one support to EHR end users.
• Receive, assess, prioritize, and resolve Epic support requests and routine user issues.
• Diagnose learning needs and design targeted learning interventions, ad hoc topics, and efficiency tips.
• Partner with IT, vendors, EHR teams, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and improve workflows.
• Maintain detailed ServiceNow records, update the knowledge base, and follow up on issue resolution.
• Analyze system trends and workflows to identify improvement opportunities and support safe, effective patient care.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Health Sciences, Education, IT, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in a healthcare environment directly affecting patient care, IT, or related services.
• Experience using an EHR and understanding information systems, application support, operating systems, databases, and related IT areas.
• Strong active listening, problem-solving, customer service, communication, analytical, and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, identify trends, and follow issues through to resolution.
• Ability to work on site, round at assigned facilities, travel to off-site locations, and become certified in Epic if required.

Nice to have

• Progressive experience in learning and training, including adult learning principles.
• Epic EMR experience and proficiency with additional Epic applications.
• Experience with EMR go-live processes and in health-related settings.
