Machining Lead - Graveyard

Location: Oregon City HQ, United States; onsite manufacturing floor position

What you will do

• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost metrics for the machining area.
• Act as the primary problem solver for process issues, equipment troubleshooting, and restoration of process control.
• Lead R&D and pilot jobs, including process documentation, production run-times, and feedback to Manufacturing and Design Engineering.
• Drive continuous improvement through setup reduction, speeds and feeds modifications, tooling improvements, and process variation reduction.
• Train operators across work centers, coordinate technical training, coach team members, and facilitate daily work assignments.
• Maintain 6S, equipment safety, consumables management, workflow balance, and small- to medium-scale production projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical support experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Understanding of GD&T, product quality standards, quality tools, and internal quality systems.
• Proven complex problem-solving ability, including root cause data analysis and corrective action closure.
• Experience working in and leading initiatives within a Lean environment.
• Ability to train employees, provide constructive feedback, prioritize changing needs, and collaborate effectively.
