Lead Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Marine)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite. No travel or relocation is provided. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Salary: $86,500–$126,800 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support and facilitate quality activities across machining and manufacturing operations, with emphasis on engine machining.
• Supervise and direct Machining Quality Technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis, lead product rework, and reduce defects and process variation.
• Apply problem-solving methods such as Six Sigma DMAIC to eliminate common- and special-cause variation.
• Collect and analyze quality data, identify corrective actions, and drive their implementation.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, product holds, rework records, and communication with production, assembly, and sister plants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Quality Engineer.
• Knowledge of PPAP and Process FMEA for current products and new product launches.
• Familiarity with GD&T and the ability to read blueprints, tolerances, and symbols.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control, auditing, and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.
• Ability to lead, teach, motivate, communicate with, and coordinate diverse teams while managing multiple projects.

Nice to have

• Experience in a marine, automotive, or engine manufacturing plant.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Associate certification.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with machining aluminum materials.
