Machine Operator Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite, 3rd shift

Salary: $28.00 per hour plus a shift differential of up to $2.00 per hour

What you will do

• Lead daily production activities focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
• Coordinate workflow, staffing resources, production priorities, and line coverage with the Production Supervisor.
• Coach employees on standard work, equipment operation, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Monitor production metrics and drive improvements in throughput, efficiency, downtime reduction, and waste elimination.
• Lead troubleshooting for equipment, materials, processes, and product quality issues in partnership with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence on the manufacturing floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience with production leadership and employee coaching.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, manufacturing metrics, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment support skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, move through the facility, lift materials, and work safely around machinery, forklifts, conveyors, and other equipment.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• Experience leading assembly, fabrication, or high-volume manufacturing teams.
