Finance Operations Analyst (Legal Finance)

Location: Must be based in Los Angeles, Orange County, New York, or Washington, D.C.

Annual compensation: $70,000–$95,000.

What you will do

• Research and resolve partner work-in-progress and on-account inventories.
• Review aging reports to identify balances requiring action, escalation, or resolution.
• Analyze WIP, accounts receivable, on-account, and trust balances and recommend write-offs, transfers, billing, or collections actions.
• Coordinate with Billing to apply on-account balances to WIP and outstanding balances.
• Prepare documentation for write-off approvals and track escalated inventory through resolution.
• Collaborate with Finance, Collections, New Matters, and Pricing teams on complex billing matters and participate in ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in legal billing, pricing, or finance.
• Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel.
• Ability to understand, execute, and communicate complex fee agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
