Claim Team Manager - Property Field Inspection

Location: Crystal Lake, Illinois; remote-field work from home with a mobile office/vehicle and in-person appointments. Candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the assigned territory and may be required to work outside it as business needs dictate.

Potential starting salary: $117,700–$156,200 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 24% of base salary.

What you will do

• Lead assigned claims personnel through hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and salary activities.
• Review and control claim investigations, claim payments, and adjustment expense payments.
• Coordinate and implement company programs, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and legal requirements.
• Promote employee development within an inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership behaviors, including customer focus, candid problem-solving, and motivating employees toward common goals.
• Physical agility for frequent lifting, carrying, ladder climbing, roof navigation at various heights, and crawling in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to complete required training, proficiency and licensing exams, motor vehicle record checks, and background checks.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and irregular hours when required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Claims operations or call center experience.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Experience with Xactimate or XactContents.
