Field Service Technician III (Deployable) (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Hurlburt Field, Florida, United States. The role requires onsite customer and field support, frequent travel outside the continental United States, and possible deployment to OCONUS locations for up to 90 days.

What you will do

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software.
• Provide maintenance and technical support at customer and field locations.
• Update and track the status of field-related equipment.
• Troubleshoot systems using technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Build customer relationships and provide onsite training.
• Deploy to OCONUS operating locations and support mission requirements for extended periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or a higher relevant degree that can substitute for experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
• Ability to interpret basic technical documentation and apply troubleshooting techniques.
• Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
• Ability to travel internationally, work extended hours, holidays, and shifts, and deploy for extended periods.
• Current or obtainable U.S. Government Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required; employment begins after clearance is granted.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in a related field.
• FCC or FCC GROL experience.
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, or A+ certification experience.
• Experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, or pilot static equipment gauges.
• Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military background.
