Building Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; 100% in-office during standard business hours. Remote work and telecommuting are not available.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Respond to tenant service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, lighting repairs, and urgent building concerns.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions, replace fixtures and filters, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Inspect properties, maintain equipment and inspection records, and assist with contractor oversight.
• Participate in on-call rotations, emergency response, severe-weather recovery, and system-outage support.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements while working with tenants, contractors, property managers, technicians, and senior engineers.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or equivalent certification or trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required under applicable local, state, or national regulations.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, mobile applications, and work-order systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
