Electronics Technician (Telecommunications)

Location: LaMoure, North Dakota, USA; onsite work at a telecommunications and transmitter site

Salary: $100,000–$117,000 per year

What you will do

• Operate and maintain electronics systems, telecommunications equipment, high-power transmitters, computer and network systems, and related site equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and organizational-level repairs.
• Maintain HVAC, fire suppression, fire alarm, CCTV, intrusion detection, emergency power, and other facility systems.
• Repair circuit boards and complete supply documentation for required repair and replacement parts.
• Generate detailed logs and reports and communicate abnormal situations to site and technical leadership.
• Mentor lower-level technicians and perform site cleanup, lawn maintenance, snow removal, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• At least four years of specialized experience diagnosing and correcting malfunctions and maintaining electronics, equipment, and systems.
• At least two years of experience operating and maintaining high-power transmission equipment with output greater than 1,000 watts at a military or commercial transmitter site.
• Secret Clearance required.
• CSWF specialty code 411 at beginner level required.
• Ability to climb, work at heights, and maintain normal depth perception and balance.
• Ability to respond rapidly to emergent situations and work a rotating schedule.
