Salary: $111,300–$176,720 USD per year

What you will do

  • Transition newly developed Laser Powder Bed Fusion production equipment from qualification into sustained, high-volume manufacturing.
  • Own the technical performance of assigned equipment after Operational Qualification and improve reliability, throughput, yield, dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and OEE.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and process-related production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and support RCCA, equipment qualification, validation, commissioning, and production-readiness activities.
  • Collaborate with design, controls, software, mechanical, electrical, systems, manufacturing, quality, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Develop standard work, preventive-maintenance procedures, calibration documentation, configuration controls, and fleet-wide engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, reliability engineering, or advanced production environments.
  • Experience launching or ramping production equipment or processes, with strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and/or controls systems.
  • Experience with structured root-cause analysis methods such as RCCA, 5 Whys, or Fishbone.
  • Ability to make analytical, data-driven decisions and work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with L-PBF or other metal additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or other high-volume precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AMS, PPAP, APQP, or equivalent quality systems.
  • Experience with OEE improvement, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, machine sensor data, manufacturing analytics, PLCs, industrial automation, or machine integration.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment installation and commissioning.
