Electrical Engineer II – Semiconductor Equipment

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States. Relocation is not eligible. Travel: 10%.

Salary: $100,000–$136,500 per year

What you will do

• Define electrical architecture for 300 mm wafer-level substrate processing equipment.
• Develop power distribution concepts, tool interlocks, safety systems, and high-level I/O and control definitions.
• Support system-level design reviews and hazard analyses.
• Coordinate subsystem integration with mechanical, systems, and vendor teams.
• Prepare early specifications, design documentation, engineering analyses, test reports, and product-release documentation.
• Coordinate component procurement and assembly, identify critical-part sources, and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of industry experience; new graduate applicants will not be considered.
• Fundamental knowledge of industrial controls, including PLCs, sensors, and interlocks.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards such as SEMI and NFPA.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment or industrial tools.
• Exposure to system-level architecture definition.
