Area Equipment Engineer

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on equipment failures, repair techniques, troubleshooting, and equipment service conditions.
• Lead and participate in downtime-related root cause investigations and provide technical support for critical equipment repairs and deviations.
• Maintain troubleshooting guides and provide maintainability input for capital projects, minor capital projects, and turnaround work orders.
• Support applicable process safety management activities and act as a reliability reviewer.
• Lead unit-level OEE programs, participate in OEE reviews, and develop improvement plans based on MTBF analysis.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, technicians, and engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, reliability, engineering, or a related industry.
• Ability to solve problems, prioritize work, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and other functional groups.
• Ability to lead through influence and take a hands-on approach with operators, technicians, and engineers.
• Ability to work on-site in Newark, Delaware.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.
• Strategic thinking skills.
