Equipment Engineer IIII (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Farmers Branch, Texas, United States; onsite, full-time day shift

What you will do

• Own equipment performance, reliability, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle plans for critical manufacturing equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution of chronic equipment issues.
• Improve uptime, MTBF, MTTR, utilization, throughput, yield, and equipment cost of ownership.
• Lead equipment selection, installation, startup, qualification, validation, upgrades, and capacity expansion projects.
• Collaborate with process engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, EHS, supply chain, IT, and vendors.
• Support automation, equipment connectivity, MES, predictive maintenance, smart manufacturing, documentation, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, mechatronics, industrial, materials, chemical engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting, qualification, reliability improvement, preventive and predictive maintenance, and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics test, wafer fabrication, probe card, MEMS, advanced packaging, precision, cleanroom, or high-volume electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, failure analysis, SPC, DOE, FMEA, CAPA, process capability, reliability engineering, and data-driven optimization.
• Experience with capital equipment projects, vendor management, FAT/SAT, automation, PLC/HMI, robotics, machine vision, MES, and manufacturing analytics.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, JMP, Minitab, predictive maintenance systems, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
• Experience mentoring engineers or technicians and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
