TL;DR
Supply Chain Program Manager I (Aerospace): Managing supply chain performance for complex aerospace and defense programs with an accent on procurement strategy, supplier requirements, cost control, and schedule execution. Focus on developing supply chain plans, mitigating supplier risks, leading make-or-buy and sourcing decisions, and applying Earned Value Management to track CPI, SPI, and budget performance.

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; onsite role with approximately 25% travel and occasional extensive travel.

U.S. citizenship is required because the position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

What you will do

  • Manage supply chain cost, technical performance, schedules, risks, opportunities, and deliverables for complex programs.
  • Supervise Supply Chain Project Coordinators and provide guidance on tools, procedures, and processes.
  • Develop program-level supply chain management, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier teaming strategies.
  • Lead supplier and subcontractor requirements, Statements of Work, data requirements, technical evaluations, and proposal support.
  • Coordinate procurement, subcontract management, engineering, operations, program management, and business management activities.
  • Track budgets and milestones using Earned Value Management, including CPI and SPI, and present recovery plans to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a technical or engineering emphasis, or relevant equivalent experience; 7+ years of operations or related experience, or 11+ years without a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management principles.
  • Experience across product lifecycle phases, including prototyping, development, qualification, certification, production, and sustainment.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense and aerospace and defense sectors, including aircraft, electronics, software, or other high-tech commodities.
  • Working knowledge of program management and at least two of risk and opportunity management, EVMS, material sales forecasts, ERP/MRP, or gate reviews.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • CPSM, PMP, or Defense Acquisition University certification.
  • Knowledge of FAR, FAA regulations, AS9100, cybersecurity, and industry requirements.
  • Experience with Ivalua, CostPoint, or other MRP/ERP systems.
