Legal Operations Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Design and continuously improve the operating model for the Legal function, identifying opportunities for automation and process elimination.
• Build intelligent intake, triage, and knowledge systems to resolve routine legal questions while directing complex issues to the right stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical teams to experiment with AI agents and tools to fundamentally rethink how legal work is performed.
• Own the legal technology strategy, including contracting, matter management, and e-billing systems.
• Manage the Legal team's budget, outside counsel relationships, and operational planning to ensure high-leverage outcomes.

Requirements

• Significant experience in legal operations, business operations, or a similar environment focused on organizational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of the mechanics of a sophisticated legal function, including budgets, outside counsel management, and legal technology.
• Deep curiosity about AI and its potential to transform professional work.
• Bias toward action and ability to drive ambiguous problems to resolution.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across diverse teams including engineering, sales, and product.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience inside a rapidly growing technology company.
• JD, MBA, or equivalent professional experience.
