Principal Solutions Architect

Location: United States; willingness to travel up to 80% when required

Salary: $180,000–$280,000 annually, plus variable and non-variable benefits

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, current-state assessments, requirements gathering, target-state architecture, gap analysis, and implementation roadmaps.
• Design and own solution architectures spanning applications, data, cloud, integration, and enterprise technology.
• Provide senior guidance on technology selection, implementation approaches, scalability, security, cost, and risk.
• Translate complex business requirements into practical solutions and present recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor technical teams, resolve architecture and implementation challenges, and collaborate across engineering, data, product, and business functions.
• Contribute to proposals, statements of work, estimates, executive presentations, reusable architecture patterns, and technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or quantitative field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, software engineering, technology consulting, or a related discipline.
• Experience in client-facing consulting, professional services, systems integration, or technology delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of application, data, cloud, integration, and technology operating-model architecture principles.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern cloud platform, including Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus experience with data platforms, databases, data modelling, integration, and data management.
• Experience with APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization, monitoring, observability, technical leadership, and executive communication.

• Exposure to AI, machine learning, generative AI, or other emerging technologies.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications.
