Staff Application Engineer- Digital Multi-Phase Controller

Location: Taipei, Taiwan. On-site role; remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Plan and execute product validation and characterization for performance, robustness, compliance, and customer use cases.
• Work with Product Engineering, R&D, Firmware, and Marketing to translate customer requirements into product features, configuration options, and roadmap feedback.
• Create test plans, automate bench measurements with Python or C where applicable, analyze data, and prepare reports for release decisions and customer communications.
• Develop and review datasheets, application notes, user guides, design guidelines, and troubleshooting FAQs.
• Support silicon bring-up and customer configuration through GUI, firmware, and PMBus, including loop compensation, sequencing, and telemetry setup.

Requirements

• BS plus at least 5 years or MS plus at least 3 years of experience in engineering or a technical equivalent within the power management industry.
• Experience with digitally enabled power management products.
• Understanding of control-loop theory and its application to power converters.
• Proficiency with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and automated laboratory testing.
• Proficiency in Python, C, or another programming language, as well as Excel or JMP for data analysis.
• Proficiency with PMBus, AVS, and other power-management protocols; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiphase DC/DC converters.
• BS plus 8 years or MS plus 5 years of experience.
