Staff System Power Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan. Proof of the right to work in Taiwan is required.

What you will do

• Develop FPGA-focused power and performance benchmarks.
• Build power models and modeling methods, and correlate model results with hardware measurements.
• Develop, maintain, and improve software tools, scripts, and automation for power modeling, benchmarking, data processing, and reporting.
• Support accurate power estimation and customer-facing power workflows.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, product marketing, and applications teams to understand requirements and improve power efficiency.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Multiple years of relevant experience: 8+ years with a BSEE, 6+ years with an MS, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Experience with power measurements, power modeling, and power/performance analysis across hardware IP such as CPU, GPU, DSP, or TPU.
• Strong Python development skills and proficiency in at least one compiled language, such as C, C++, or Java.
• Experience building maintainable tools, automation, data-processing pipelines, APIs, regression tests, and test automation.
• Familiarity with agentic workflows, software engineering best practices, debugging, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
