Control Systems Designer/EIT (BMS)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; preference is given to local candidates.

Salary: $62,370–$95,810 per year.

What you will do

• Support the design of building management and automated facility support systems under the direction of a senior or experienced control systems engineer.
• Assist with selecting and specifying process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
• Develop control system construction documents, including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, installation details, loop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver control systems solutions across multiple market sectors.
• Participate in field assessments, shop drawing reviews, construction observations, system testing, and commissioning.
• Develop proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Visio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred; candidates without an EIT may be hired under the Control Systems Designer job code and expected to obtain it for career progression.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of control systems, networking, and instrumentation.
• Self-motivation, attention to detail, and commitment to technically accurate, high-quality designs.
• Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

• Experience designing control systems.
• Experience developing P&IDs, control schematics, and loop drawings.
• Experience with networking and communications.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
