I&C Design Engineer III

Salary: USD 110,000–145,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee the instrumentation and controls discipline and manage discipline budgets for small to medium projects.
• Coordinate with clients, internal and external engineers, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers.
• Lead design phases including programming, planning, feasibility, concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Develop automation control system designs involving multiple controllers, HMIs, workstations, and servers.
• Prepare construction drawing packages, specifications, discipline calculations, and design training materials.
• Lead quality checks, mentor junior engineers and designers, and troubleshoot discipline and system issues.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in a design firm.
• Experience with instrumentation and controls calculations, control system design, schematics, panel fabrication drawings, and field wiring plans.
• Experience developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and applying electrical, mechanical, building, and industry codes.
• Ability to coordinate cross-discipline project teams and construction trade partners with limited supervision.
• Experience or knowledge of cGMP manufacturing environments and safety instrumented systems.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion.
