Diesel Mechanic - Technician B

Location: Ivyland, Pennsylvania, USA; on-site role

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, engines, suspension, drivetrains, and steering systems.
• Service hydraulic, electrical, air brake, HVAC, and diesel emissions systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, basic tire work, welding, and fabrication.
• Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools.
• Provide safe road service when equipment requires field repair.
• Complete company training programs and support equipment reliability for route operations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of technician experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next three months.
• Experience with Class 1–5 light/medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to perform basic inspections with limited supervision across automotive and heavy-truck systems.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• Automotive Service Excellence certifications T1–T8.
• Commercial Driver’s License.
