What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose engine, fuel, drivetrain, hydraulic, air, and electrical system issues.
• Use diagnostic software, precision tools, engine lathes, boring machines, and hydraulic repair tools.
• Repair 12-volt DC electrical systems and assist with heavy equipment repairs.
• Fabricate and repair equipment using welding equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment and communicate issues affecting operations.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of heavy-duty truck components.
• Experience with diagnostic software and welding.
• Ability to follow safety rules, work independently under changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication with coworkers and management.
• Willingness to join Local 49 union.
• Valid Class A or B CDL, or ability to obtain one.
