Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor Automation)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States. Work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on the role and business needs. Employment eligibility in the United States is verified through E-Verify.

Base salary: $84,178.82–$113,888.99 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Participate in mechanical design and development of new products throughout the lifecycle from concept through production release.
• Design semiconductor automation products and new mechanical features for existing products.
• Create and release 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials according to company processes.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineering to meet market and customer requirements.
• Build prototypes and communicate the cost impact of design decisions.
• Support operations, supply chain, field service, and quality teams to maintain reliable products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in an automation product development environment, with knowledge of semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling using ProE and SolidWorks, plus FEA and CFD analysis.
• Knowledge of robotic mechanisms and components such as motors, bearings, sensors, and actuators.
• Working knowledge of automation controls, robotics, semiconductor system integration, materials, and mechanical design practices.
• Strong communication, technical reporting, hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, estimation, and scheduling skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SEMI standards.
• Experience with Agile or AgileEC.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
