What you will do

• Design, analyze, test, and document mechanical systems and components for new audio and video equipment.
• Use SolidWorks to create, evaluate, simulate, and document product components and laboratory test equipment.
• Own mechanical design projects from concept through production within a cross-functional team.
• Support assembly, prototyping, laboratory testing, peer reviews, and design validation.
• Conduct thermal and structural analyses and ensure components meet design intent.
• Collaborate with domestic and international teams on BOM procurement, documentation release, and project support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of applicable mechanical design experience in electronics packaging.
• Experience with SolidWorks or a similar parametric MCAD tool.
• Knowledge of casting, injection molding, sheet metal, and PCB design principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and engineering problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an office in Richardson, Texas, and complete a post-offer background investigation and drug screen.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks FEA and CFD.
• Experience with electronics packaging for rack-mounted equipment.
• Design for Six Sigma experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Spanish as a second language.
