TL;DR
Project Manager (Water Technology): Overseeing equipment design, submittals, production scheduling, installation, and commissioning for water and wastewater projects with an accent on scope, schedule, cost, and technical coordination. Focus on reviewing complex engineering drawings, coordinating suppliers and field services, and delivering equipment projects on time and under budget.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; based at the Charlotte office. Travel to project sites, supplier factories, and technical conferences is required as needed.

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annually, plus bonus.

What you will do

  • Oversee equipment design and review technical layouts, data packages, submittals, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical, and civil project aspects with internal teams, customers, consultants, suppliers, and representatives.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, costs, contract deviations, and equipment releases to support on-time, under-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate supply chain deadlines, third-party vendor pricing, installation, commissioning, and warranty activities.
  • Prepare schedules of values for billing and communicate warranty dates to accounting and finance teams.
  • Support product research and development and lead special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a Business degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2–10 years of experience in an engineering-related capacity.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, leadership, and business skills.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel by plane and car and lift up to 25 pounds.
