Water/Wastewater Project Manager (Civil Engineering)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA; onsite

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee water and wastewater projects from conception through completion, managing scope, budget, and schedule.
• Define project objectives, requirements, and technical specifications with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Perform engineering analyses, feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, and detailed water and wastewater system design.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and other project deliverables.
• Manage permitting, regulatory compliance, construction activities, site assessments, project documentation, and design changes.
• Apply industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to improve project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• At least 10 years of experience managing water and wastewater engineering projects.
• Proficiency with industry-standard hydraulic modeling, CAD design, and project management software.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; regular business travel using a company or personal vehicle is required.
• Knowledge of water treatment, distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment processes, with strong communication and team leadership skills.
