TL;DR
Business Analyst (Sports Tech Solutions) (Live Events/Product Operations): Supporting the development of crewing, scheduling, travel, hotel allocation, equipment management, and reporting workflows for major sports productions with an accent on requirements analysis, agile delivery, and system integrations. Focus on translating business needs into user stories, documenting data flows, supporting QA/UAT, and turning operational data into actionable insights.

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule requiring at least four days per week in the office. Occasional travel within the U.S. may be required for event support.

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

  • Collect and document business and functional requirements for event planning, crewing, onboarding, travel, hotel allocation, equipment management, and reporting workflows.
  • Maintain the product backlog by drafting user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics in Jira with senior business analysts and product managers.
  • Create requirements documents, process flows, wireframes, user flows, and release notes using Confluence, Lucidchart, and Figma.
  • Partner with QA to track defects, write and execute basic test cases, and support UAT sessions.
  • Analyze dashboards and reporting data in Power BI and Tableau, translating findings into stakeholder insights.
  • Document integrations and data flows with HR/payroll systems, travel and expense platforms, and third-party crewing vendors; support training, post-launch issue tracking, and small enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, including internships in product management, business analysis, project coordination, or software requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convert business needs into structured documentation.
  • Analytical and organizational skills, including comfort with spreadsheets, Excel, Smartsheet, Airtable, and basic reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum concepts and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to work from the Stamford office at least four days per week and travel occasionally within the U.S.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to SQL, API-based integrations, low-code/no-code platforms, HRIS, travel and expense, or workforce management software.
  • Interest in media, broadcasting, live sports, or event production.
  • Experience with AI-assisted productivity tools such as Claude or Copilot.
