Business Intelligence Specialist, Business Analytics (SQL/Python/Tableau)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Applicants must have the right to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and retirement contributions.

What you will do

• Deliver channel intelligence, business metrics, management reporting, and distribution insights for client coverage priorities.
• Build recurring reports, self-service dashboards, and firmwide reporting inputs using internal and external data.
• Oversee client fee arrangements and channel economics, including non-standard fee requests and trend escalation.
• Develop compensation frameworks, global channel budgets, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
• Translate business requirements into governed SQL datasets and maintain BI and analytical tools through delivery, training, adoption, and retirement.
• Partner with Client Coverage, Finance, Client Data Strategy, Sales Enablement, and other teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of hands-on experience building BI and analytics tools in financial services or asset management.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau or comparable tools.
• Strong analytical, visualization, communication, business acumen, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work with large structured and unstructured datasets and explain technical concepts to business users.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Alteryx, R, statistical modules, and machine learning algorithms.
