Business Analyst

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; Workplace: Hybrid

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Gather and document business requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, impact, and success criteria.
• Create and improve workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions that increase efficiency and user adoption.
• Analyze data to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support decisions about features and workflows.
• Document requirements, workflows, and current-state and future-state process models.
• Participate in quality assurance and lead user acceptance testing for new systems and processes.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, while reporting project status, risks, outcomes, and next steps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
• Strong understanding of business operations, mission operations, and/or IT systems.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust or a security clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

• PMP, CCBA, CBAP, or another relevant certification.
• Experience with user-centered design, usability goals and metrics, user characteristics, environments, tasks, and workflows.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Agile Dev 2.0.
• Experience supporting the Defense Logistics Agency or other government agencies.
